Thanks, Hart! I don't have an actual darkroom, just a plastic tub set on a
small table in the middle of my home office. But I guess I do need to be
more careful about keeping it a lot cleaner. Those are some excellent
suggestions to try.

One of my few gripes with the Minolta Scan Dual II, btw, is that it leaves
the filmstrip holder hanging outside the scanner and feeds the negatives
in as it scans them. It really should pull the holder all the way in at the
beginning of a new strip and then push the frames back outside, where
dust and lint can settle on them, *after* they've already been scanned.
That alone is reason to want to keep the room clean.
