Tony, the cleaning fluid sold by Kami , DC 2001 is superb BUT the secret
of using it is to
use a very clean flat (glass / mirror ) surface, wrap a drumscan
cleaning cloth round a pencil or any tube ,wet one edge with the cleaner
and wipe once across the neg or tranny.
if it requires another wipe turn the cloth/tube round a bit ,re-wet and
re-wipe with one smooth movement.
this will remove fingerprints and and will leave no trace of the
cleaner.
Rubbing backward and foreword simply spreads the contamination.
Kami fluid does not damage your precious original either.
