I use my Sony 17" multiscan monitor at 1280x1024 @ 75Hz.
I recently brought this for 250USD. It had 50USD mail-in-rebate.  
Sony did not pay the mail-in-rebate; gave a lame reason for it. 
If Sony had paid mail-in-rebate, I would have paid only 200USD.
