RE: filmscanners: Nikon 8000

Disclaimer : I work for Polaroid!!. (maybe someone doesn't know!)
When we were doing market research for the 120 with Pro Photographers we
specifically asked about dust removal and it was not a priority and in fact
many said they would not use it if available. I sometimes wonder if they
tell you what you want to hear or you hear what you want. The just returned
from the PPA trade show in Chicago which is focused at "social
photographers", primarily medium format users. Guess what, as I was ready to
launch into my dust and scratch story these folks stopped me in my tricks
saying they were not interested. It seems in some photographic segments it
is not a valued feature.
That being said , my job would be a lot easier with it but no fear we may
still have a trick or two left. At PPA one of the key product
differentiators that swayed customers to Polaroid was the Insight,
Silverfast, Binuscan software bundle.

David

It is presumably higher than if the mass distribters were able to
sell
it at cost like so many other things labeled Nikon...

I've always wondered about photographer's loyalty to Nikon
scanners...
Is ICE really that big of a determining factor?
