RE: filmscanners: Re: Polaroid SS120 Scan Size

Although not supported directly in the software Sprintscan 120 customers are
doing 6 x 17 scans. They di 6x9 frame one then 6x9 frame two then bring
them together in Photoshop, I have a PDF (5mb) that shows the technique
which I would be happy to email IF your emall account can accept files tha
big.

In the specs Polaroid say that the SS120 will scan up to 6x9.

>From looking at there 4000 the mechanics will allow long scans which I
assume
that the SS120 is the same.

Can this be made to scan 6x17 or is there any intention by Polaroid to allow
scans longer than 9cm. ( Is there inherent problems scanning longer
material) or
are there restrictions within the scanner?

If that's not possible then is the Nikon 8000 the answer?

Thanks

Rob
