Hi, Ken,

exactly my experience as to using Vuescan. My back-to-the roots approach may
not be what you're expecting to hear: Use Nikon Scan instead which scans
Superia 100 and 400 excellently *if CMS is turned off* (important). See my
workflow at http://schmode.net/nikonscantweak.jpg and the results at
http://www.schmode.net (almost all newer pics are Superia 100 scans). If you 
like what
you're seeing, this might be the way out of trouble.
