filmscanners: LS30 SA20 film adaptor Re Batch scanning with Vuescan

I am using Vuescan 7.2.9 with the LS30 SA20 film adaptor to batch scan 6
frames at a time. All is working wonderfully except after each time I eject
the piece of film to do the next 6 the scan button in Vuescan sometimes does
not work. I have to pull the SA20 out and back in again then it starts. All
seems ok with the scanner as it accepts the film but Vuescan has no control
over it without messing about. Any ideas please.
