The firmware version is shown in the title bar of the Nikonscan program
window -- at least, it is for my LS-30 on Windows:
Mine says "Nikon COOLSCANIII 1.31 @SCSI HA:00 ID:02" (where 1.31 is the firmware
version).
What does yours say?
