[filmscanners] Interesting result of RGB separation (was: Warning and hugedisappointment...)

Hi again,

looks as if my brand new Scan Elite II has got at least three problems
rather than one: Please look at

which shows that there are at least two faulty areas on the CCD (middle
and bottom) *plus* a periodic banding pattern contributed by the "red"
channel.

I begin to feel *really* upset about that thing on top of my computer...
