[filmscanners] Accessing film types with VueScan: ArtixScan 4000t on Mac OS 9.1

I've just purchased VueScan 7.4 for Mac and am running OS 9.1. I'm very
impressed with many of the features, although the startup window flickers
alarmingly (wasn't this addressed in an earlier upgrade?) and every redraw
is painfully slow. I have the required amount of RAM dedicated to the
program - 91Mb - and still have heaps of headroom on my G4 with 896Mb total
RAM.

The biggest problem I have - and I've read the user notes but can't find
anything to point me in the right direction - is that I can only select 2
slide vendors - Kodak or Generic - in the 'slide vendor' window when
scanning from positive film. I shoot mostly on Fuji Sensia or Velvia and
although the online manual lists the 'available' profiles for over 200
tranny types, I can't select any of them. Is this a platform problem, or is
the ArtixScan 4000t unable to utilise the data?

Ed, I've followed your posts and am impressed by the amount of work you've
put into continually upgrading the program, as well as taking the time to
respond to user's requests. Forgive me if I've missed something.

What am I doing wrong?
