The RGB gain controls can be used to adjust the color balance of the
brightest white that the monitor produces.  The RGB bias controls adjust
the color balance of the darkest black.  When you use a calibration
utility like ColorCAL or OptiCAL, you use the gain controls to set white
point to your desired color temperature target (usually 5000K or 6500K).
I asked about the bias controls, and I was told to leave them at the
factory settings.
