[filmscanners] Re: Finally, I can talk about the SS4000+ (LONG)

I was really impressed with the SS4000 too, and that's the "old" one:)
Clean dynamic range is what I like about it best, and that's what's lacking
slightly with the Agfa T-2500. I get the "streaking and lazy sensors"
problem you referred to in another part of your post with 4x5 color negs
particularly, and noisy shadows with chrome scans.

I wonder if the Polaroid 45 Ultra has the same great quality as the SS4000
and SS120 in practice, resolution issues aside? Perhaps David Hemingway
will comment, as he's the only person I know of who really might know the
answer to that question. (If you do comment David, I'm trusting you to
shoot straight:)

Can anything be done about the "lazy sensor" problem? Is this something
that gets more pronounced over time with CCD scanners?

Basically, this scanner does not create noise in shadows, under any
normal scanning conditions.
