[filmscanners] RE: Foveon



Try Photo.net.  Phil Greenspun took one of the first-gen Nikon D1s for a
spin and ended up getting some dust on the CCD and couldn't clean it off
(lacked the AC adapter to lock up the mirror and didn't know/use the timer
MLU lock-up trick).  He's got some good photos showing the dust...this is a
known issue for pro digital SLR users, BTW...

Had the same thought about this too. But, strange enough, I never read any
complaints anywhere on the net by users of such cameras about shots ruined
by dust and dirt bits on the CCD.
