Depending on your budget, you can actually buy a used drum scanner for a
bit more than the 8000 and have much more flexiblity, get MUCH better
scans and most likely not feel compelled to buy another scanner for many
years.  I finally did and will not look back.  I am also doing scans for
local photographers and the machine is paying for itself.  Not a bad
