[filmscanners] Re: cdrw drives



I use a HP CD Writer Plus 9200 series and mine is SCSI, have had it over 1
year and works perfectly everytime, no buffer underruns, coasters, no
problems at all.  I did scrap the HP software and use Adaptec software, but
the sold to I think Fasio?  Anyway still good software with no problems to
report.  I would recommend this CDRW to anybody.  I hook it up to the same
SCSI card as my scanner, Zip 100, and CD ROM.  I use TDK CD-R and HP,
Memorex & TDK for CDRW.

Maybe this says they're all made in the same damn plant and reliability is a
function of something other than brand name.  I wouldn't be surprised if it
were true.
