[filmscanners] Re: cdrw drives

Jules,

I've always thought Plextor made one of the best. But I believe the know
how has trickled down to where almost everyone can make a good CDRW. I
recently bought a Lite-On 24x10x40 IDE from newegg.com for about a hundred
bucks. Lite-On is a rather new company partially owned by JVC. This new
drive is very quiet, compared to my scsi Yamaha 16x writer, and has been
working flawlessly for about 2-3months. I just order 3 more, but now a
hundred bucks buys a 40x12x48. WOW!

What is a good reliable cd/rw drive. I had a plextor and in less than a
year it became unusable. Suggestions? Experiences?

Thanks
Jules
