[filmscanners] Re: VueScan FIY

I'll second this. Vuescan is the best 'value proposition' piece of
software I own or use. In my day job I use pcb layout software
that costs hundred's times what Vuescan does, I wish it were
as pro-actively supported as Vuescan is.

When it comes to scanning alternatives I bought Silverfast software and
paid ~5 times what I did for Vuescan. Vuescan has given me better
results and been much better supported.

Of course, Vuescan, a piece of versatile scanner software, enhanced
monthly and/or weekly, with reasonable on-line documentation won't be
everyone's piece of pie.
