HDR stands for "High Dynamic Range". Basically, it's a 16 bit data format
that gives you the raw data directly from the A/D. The data does not have
the mask removed, nor is it inverted (for negatives). It typically occupies
only a small range of the 16 bits, as it has no setpoints applied. It also
has no tonal curves applied.
