There shouldn't be.  Where do you store your negatives?

I find that I usually only _need_ ICE on color negatives from a one-hour
lab.  They tend to scratch the negatives and get a lot of dust on them.  On
my own black and white negatives, and on color slides (no matter where they
were developed), I can typically leave ICE off.
