In a perfect world, it would be easy to locate any scanner of your choice at
your friendly, neigborhood dealer. You could just saunter on in at the
crack o' dawn with your arsenal of film...and spend limitless time carefully
testing everything in sight. With your little pinkies curled, you could
progressively weed out anything that doesn't make you delireously
effervescent. Later on, as the fat ol' orange disk of a sun slowly slips
beneath the horizon, you dramatically clear your throat - before proclaiming
which scanning device meets 100% of your ecsoteric critera. The dealer is
grinning from ear-to-ear...just beaming, as he grabs your hand and pumps
your arm in an animated gesture of congratulations. He inserts a $100.00
cigar into your smiling orifice and lights it as he closes the sale. Now
he's clapping you on your back as he pipes up with the following good news:
For today only, this scanner is 50% off, free shipping, and a five year
guarantee of your complete satisfaction - or double your money back. No
questions asked, and you'll still be the very, very best of friends.
But until that day arrives, Tony m'man, all I can do is research, make a
hopefully well informed decision, buy...and hope for the best. Any superior
concepts will be vastly appreciated.
Joyfully, -david soderman- <><
