I am finding that the time required to save a 54meg 16bit image is getting
overlong at about 2mins 40sec. This is the time after the scanner has
stopped when Vuescan says processing crop x. My computer is a PII 266 with
256MB with a ATA66 drive which is well tuned and defragged. Finally my
question - what sort of saving times are you guys achieving with your 1GHZ+
machines with Vuescan - so I can make a decision on its replacement.
Obviously 36x 2m 40s on top of the pre scanning prep is a long time wasted
while Vuescan refuses to do the next scan until it has finished the
previous.

Regards

Philip Elkin
