Nikon Scan is an ergonomic failure, independently of its performance and
reliability. The software is very poorly designed, and almost as poorly
coded.

I run Nikon Scan 3.1.2 with 1.5 GB of RAM (the maximum I can fit on the
machine) and it runs fine, as far as I can tell. But the program interface
is still a joke. I would have preferred something that at least conforms to
Windows standards, even if it might mean fewer pretty lights and less
smooth, sculpted 3-D aesthetics.
