No, I've had an SS4000 and an LS-4000 running side-by-side on XP Pro.

To add my .02 to the original question, I'm as happy as a clam at high tide
with XP Pro. It's much more stable than W98SE that I ran for 3 years
previously. It's more memory-hungry (both disk and RAM), and it didn't
fully stabilize until I upgraded my system disk from 4GB to 40, and
increased its swap file size. Now I'd be hard pressed to imagine a more
stable OS for home use.
