[filmscanners] Re: Nikon LS4000 Depth of field



If you think banding is a problem with CCD sensors now, just imaging
stepping the focus with each scan line, or every multiple thereof.
Also, the main curve problem is across the film the narrow direction,
and this is not adjustable, as the scanning is done in lines across the
narrow direction.  I'm afraid the only reasonable answer is to get the
film as flat as possible before scanning. But great thinking outside of
the (scanning) box. ;-)
