I burned quite a few coasters with Easy CD Creator 3.5 and an HP burner
without burnproof technology, but since I upgraded both the software (to 5)
and the hardware (to a drive with burnproof technology) I have not produced
a single coaster. I think the problem was more hardware than software, and
new, fast drives are mighty cheap.

Easy CD is, IME, a steaming pile of zero-tolerance poo, and apt to churn
out coasters given the slightest glitch. Try Nero, or Gear, or almost
anything else.
