Or it coulod mean that the Win 2000 or XP drivers supplied by Minolta have
not been as yet officially certified by Microsoft as Microsoft Certified XP
drivers.

Subject: [filmscanners] RE: Scan Elite & XP?

Hi Jeanie,

I have a Minolta Scan Elite running on XP with both the original software
v1.0.3 and with vuescan. XP identifies the scanner as an unknown scsi device
on the scsi bus. The minolta software and vuescan identify the device
correctly and talk directly with it (via ASPI). At least this is my
experience.

I suspect "XP not supported" means the scanner does not appear as one of the
new "Window Image Aquisition" devices like XP supported equipment does. Not
a big deal, IMHO.

I think the most important thing is to make sure your scsi card is supported
under XP, I am using an Adaptec 2906 with the XP supplied drivers.
