[filmscanners] RE: To Austin and Dickbo; Was: Density vs Dynamic range
I apologize. I read you post and responded to it prior to reading the cross
posts that you referred to. Had I read them first, I would not have
responded as I did and probably would have agreed with you. While as
indicated by my original post, I strongly defend the right of individuals
and small groups to discuss what they find interesting even if it is not of
interest to the majority on the list; but I also find the personal sniping,
ego posturing and name calling juvenile and a waste of time and
inappropriate for public lists.
So once again I apologize and hope I did not ruffle feathers too badly by my
post.

I don't mind the information, such as it is, contained in the posts. I find
the personal sniping, ego posturing and name calling juvenile and a waste of
time.
I know how to use my email program, and the delete key.
I suppose, taken to one logical extreme, I am as in entitled to my opinion
and position on their behavior as they are to critique each others. That is
not the point, however. Spurious logic aside, what about manners? Is it
simply not possible to debate without stooping to the lowest common
denominator? Or is debate not taught in engineering schools?
