[filmscanners] RE: Little CMS Profiler

I did it already for my IV ED using Kodak Q-60 target and LittleCMS
software.
Switching Nikon's CMS off the results were little bit different from those
delivered with Nikon CMS without calibration but still color appearance was
off (magenta cast).

Recalling that I was getting good results with Nikon CMS On previously using
different monitor I
now suspect the real reason for color shift might be monitor non-calibration
rather then scanner calibration or Nikon's CMS. That's why I decided to stop
getting crazy trying to calibrate the scanner with or without Nikon's CMS
prior to calibrating my monitor using some real tool like
Spider and something like that. I bought one already and intend to do that
during this or next week. Then I can talk about scanner calibration should
the colors still remain off after monitor calibration.

Regards,
Alex Z

Hi thomas,

I´m waitting for my Ektachrome Q-60 E3 to build a profile
for my Nikon LS-4000. It seems a very affordable solution
instead of Silverfast Calibration or Binuscan Photoretouch!

Dave

Has anyone created a profile for a scanner (preferably a Polaroid SS4000)
using the Profiler Construction set from www.littlecms.com? I would be very
interested in knowing about your results.

Thanks...
