[filmscanners] scanner for a lot of slides

I'm looking for a scanner with services for customers in mind.
My needs are:
- fast with ICE
- fast without ICE
- 2700dpi is enough (mainly for 4x6" and 6x8" prints)
- bundled with SilverFast or VueScan compatibility (or good original
software but it's a rare species ;-)
- price $1000 or less
This scanner would mainly scan slides in different state, some older and
scratched, from different customers. 50-150 slides a day.
What are your recommendations? I don't know the 2700dpi class scanners as
myself I was interested in the 4000dpi class for my private needs (I have
LS-4000ED).

My first choice would be Nikon LS-IVED but I don't know how fast it is and I
suspect that the shallow depth of field would cause too much trouble with
old slides.
I don't know Minolta, Acer or Umax scanners - would any of them be your
recommendation?

Regards

Tomek Zakrzewski
