[filmscanners] Re: Polaroid Sprint Scan 4000
Hi David,
This was completely serendipity. I am catching up on 3 weeks of email,
as a result of being flat on my back with a herniated disk, I was unable
to get to my computer (I couldn't walk or sit - still can't). I am
responding to email and postings in order, so I hadn't even seen your
posting when I wrote and posted the one you refer to.
Bo and I have been in correspondence for several months regarding the
MinoltaPro web pages before they were put up. You will note if you go
there that there is a page which is quoted from me regarding Minolta's
problem with gritty images with emphasized dust, etc. and my theory as
to the hows and whys.
Bo is a very inquisitive, smart, funny guy, and we have continued our
private correspondence. Not having a Minolta Pro (but having a Minolta
Dual II) I haven't frequented the group very often, although I was
invited to join.
My use of the word "exclusive" was therefore obviously not in reply to
your posting. It was a joke, because the number of Polaroid SS4000/+
scanners in use are not at the top of the list due to cost, Polaroid's
financial woes, and other issues, and also I used it to imply that few
other scanners could be included in the "Nothing to complain about" group.
So, in spite of the assumption (hey, aren't you the guy who just
provided a definition of "assume" from Webster? ;-)) that I was being my
usual sardonic self, I'm too tranqued out on pain killers right now for
that... ;-) Also, I'm still flat on my back (just finally worked out a
way to get to my email while laying down), so too much blood is going to
my brain to me fully mentally functional.
My only personal remark is that I can guarantee you this, I am totally
unwilling to sign this "Joyfully" with the amount of pain, the lack of
movement and the inability to do anything, including scanning, that I am
experiencing right now.... ;-)
Take care, and relax ;-) (like I'm being forced to...)
