You must understand that Anthony uses a different definition of
"Europe" than the rest of us. His is more like the way
Manhattanites define the rest of America.
However - in all seriousness - one thing should be pointed out here;
if one takes a look at where the biggest producers of stock
photography live, you'd see that few live in France, and a huge
number live in Spain.
If there were a measurement like "images per square kilometer"
Spain would win by a wide margin. Pedro Coll, Stewart Pearce (jr &
sr), Ken, Ben, and Marcos Welsh each produce enough images to
fill the files of several good sized agencies. Plus; there are
hundreds of people with outputs that are just a bit more modest.
There is nothing to worry about in any case, Spain's huge output of
stock photography easily compensates for France's shortage.
Of course, I'm in central New Jersey, where the total output is even
lower than France.
