[filmscanners] Re: Slightly, somewhat OT

I do something different.

I have a spare hard drive installed, and use the floppy based utilities for
doing a partition copy to do my backups. On my older '98 machine, some key
drivers disappeared two nights ago. When I restored the partition, I was
back up in an hour.

Both Western Digital and Maxtron have licensed utilities from Caldera. I
can't speak for any other drive manufacturer. We recently got a 40 BG, 5400
RPM Maxtron drive, $60 after rebates. Its perfect for a backup device.
