[filmscanners] Re: SS4000 fixes to improve quality--dust removal



Well, they obviously need to be lint free, but I don't think many people
expose their digital camera's CCD (for removable lens models) to the
same environment that an open film scanner might. I also don't know how
scratch resistant a CCD surface is relative to an front faced mirror.

I still recommend that a good camera repair guy or even a well versed
photocopy repair guy (although damage to photocopier front surface
mirrors probably is less visible in the printed result) as to how they
do it.
