The scanner needs servicing. Something must have happened during shipping.
It needs to go back and recalibrated or fixed. The specs for misregistration
for the ss120 are +/-1 pixel max.

This is abnormal and you need it serviced. It could be a slipping film
carrier, or another problem, but this is not normal. The registration
should not even be a full pixel off. This is almost definitely a
mechanical flaw. I can think of some very strange computer problems that
might cause this, but look for a horse, not a Zebra (unless, of course,
you live in Africa or a game reserve or zoo). ;-)
