Bob...
Never used a KCD monitor but i don't think a mild (very mild kind of
detergent should matter... it's glass after all... i've cleaned calculators,
watches, etc. with no problem.... anyway, the only time you'd probably need
to use a detergent of any kind is when you get greasy kind of spots (finger
prints!) on the screen...
What's it like in terms of colour? Viewing angle? Calibration and colour
accuracy? Looking foward to feedback from you....
Cheers...

Shunith,
My new Formac 20" LCD arrived today, and the manual says use a soft cloth
moistened with water only. No cleaning agents should be used. So LCD's are
even more sensitive than CRT's it seems.

2/ Use a mild and diluted hand/face soap or a photographic lens cleaning
fluid. (Don't use contact-lens cleaning fluids as they may destroy the
coating. Reason... solvents or whatever that are meant to remove protein,
etc. from contact lenses.)
