That's not perfect either; one of the main reasons why we are all different
is 'mutation', i.e. failure to copy properly. Even DNA replication has
mechanisms to detect and repair wrong copies of bases (=bits), but even that
is not perfect. But, without these defects, life wouldn't evolve.

It isn't really that amazing when you compare it to, say, DNA replication.
