That's why I said "or whatever". The dither algorithm works at whatever dot
pitch you select, not at some fixed 720dpi (for desktop printers).

You had expressed a suspicion that when the Epson document referred to
resampling at 720dpi, instead of 720ppi, they were referring to something
related to the dithering. I was merely correcting that, saying that they did
indeed mean 720ppi, as evidenced by the behavior of their driver.
