Hi All,
My LS-40 hangs when using Vuescan under Linux. Everything works fine
under Windows 2000. The preview seems OK. Sometimes a scan will work.
But mostly (always when batch scanning) the scanner will hang right at
the start of the full scan. (NOTE: Under Windows everything works
perfectly.)
Anyone else had this problem? Anyone fixed it? :-)
For those wanting a bit more info: the scanner returns "funky
result:-75" to the scanner.c module in the linux kernel. I've emailed
the developer of that code (according to the docs) but haven't had a
reply yet. Scanner hangs, Vuescan hangs, and the kernel module can't be
unloaded - requiring a reboot.
I think this is more than likely a Linux problem but hopefully someone's
come across it before...
Cheers,
Matt.
