That understanding is correct for Nikon LS-2000, LS-4000 and LS-8000
scanners, but not for the LS-30. The LS-30 firmware does not provide
single-pass multi-scanning. Rob's question was about using Vuescan
software to make the LS-30 do multi-scanning by repeated passes.
