[filmscanners] Re: need your older Nikon film scannersrecommendations
I would agree. Scanners have a good many mechanical precision parts
which can go out of calibration, wear or fail. Repair costs are quite
high on all film scanners.
Film scanners are dropping in price and providing better quality for
less cost. Unless you can get someone to sell you a used product with a
warranty, you will be better off buying new.
Even a Minolta Dual Scan III will be a considerable improvement over
your LS-10, and cost is about $300 US new.
