"Anyone have any recommendations for something to use to restore the rubber
rollers on an aging printer?"
I'm assuming you are refering to a machine that makes prints, not the person
who operates it....
But seriously, folks...
When I worked as an industrial photographer in the eighties, we were in the
same facility as the printshop. The pressmen had a nasty solvent that they
used on the rubber rollers in offset printers. It came in gallon jugs
labeled, with a directness often not found in American business, "Rubber
Rejuvenator." I would check with offset printers in your area. If you have a
working relationship with one, he might even fill a small bottle for free.
Oh, and this stuff really worked. It could make a hard, cracked roller like
new!
