This is a a great treasure of information you have graciously offered.
It will go into my permanent archive.

I believe you made a slight typing error that could prove disastrous if
followed:

Shouldn't this read "base" or "non-emulsion" side?  I don't think you
want to use even very fine grit or abrasive on the emulsion side ;-)
