It's been doing it for about nine months. It started with my original
holder. I thought it was because it was getting old or something. then
spring #4 broke off and I stupidly threw it away. When spring #3 broke
off, my wife was the one who suggested supergluing it (she always tries
to fix everything). Meanwhile I ordered 3 new holders from Polaroid
which showed up about three months after I ordered them, about 3 months
ago. They all do the same thing.
I always do one slide at a time. I've tried putting one slide just in #4
with the same results. I'm not sure anything could be blocking it. After
all, I can scan a strip of 6 negatives with no problem. Both holder
types are exactly the same thickness. I'll try the brushes and let
everyone know, but I have such a heavy plate right now I don't know
when. Oral surgery tomorrow and I'm kind of distracted by that horror
besides.
