 I was attempting to get the conversation back on track and as a result I
hit your PONTIFICATING button.

Sorry, go ahead and knock yourself out!

I can see that so far you've made a big difference in the war in Iraq; the
distribution of power owned by the USA and the rest of the world and that by
arguing hard drives ad infinitum, you have obviously looked after the poorer
inhabitants of the world. Thankyou for yet another Guilt Trip ( which by the
way is; your problem; remember, I obviously don't care? ) because I love to
travel to see how the rest of the world recognizes that 2 + 2 = 4. How
enlightening to know that the whole world hates the USA and they have just
cause. I'm sure you got that bit of information off the back of your cereal
box made of recycled memoranda from Parliament and the White House
shredders.
This forum is all yours and I'll only speak when I'm spoken to.

Actually Owen, no we can't go back to discussing Filmscanners, since
basically, there is nothing much to discuss about them, which is obvious
from the lack of traffic here otherwise.

What you perhaps fail to comprehend is that war in Iraq... it's being
fought over the power to drive your damn hard drives and computer 24/7.
  Perhaps if you took some ownership for that, you'd feel as
justifyingly guilty as you should.

Some happen to recognize that two plus two equals four, and others
choose to be either completely selfish or intentionally ignorant to the
relationship between waste of resource and both suffering for the poorer
inhabitants of this world who can't afford such luxury, and ultimately
how all wars turn on greed of resource.

The US currently both contains 90% of the economic wealth of the world
and uses about 90% of its energy resources.  Americans may think they
are that much more valuable to this planet than anyone else, but when
the question "why do they hate us so much" comes up, there, my friend,
is the answer.
