        I am also using VueScan with my SS4000. I have noticed that
when scanning negatives (colour and B&W) that the focus is usually
much better if the negatives are inserted emulsion side up. Doesn't
seem to make much difference with slides.
        I seem to remember hearing this before on an earlier list,
but at the time I had a Minolta, so I didn't check it out. Anyone
else notice this?
