This is not an endorsement of the product or the retailer, but for
anyone looking for a budget film scanner, Overstock.com has the HP
Photosmart S20xi for only $129.95 US
That's the USB version of this scanner. 2400 dpi specification, film
strip or, slides, 300 dpi reflective up to 5x7".
This is avery cheap way to get into film scanning, and IMHO, is about
the correct price for this scanner, in spite of it's original $500+ price.
