I have to scan a 18x22" map to produce a SuperB 13x19 print. Poor condition
map needs lots of work. I am running out of size in PS7. I want to scan as
high res as possible for retouching sake, then drop down to stitch them. I
can scan up to 1800dpi. The question is: what would be my final values in
'image size' when i went to stitch them together? it would take all day to
experiment
I am scanning the map greayscale 16bit, and will make a separate scan of old
paper texture, and make final print in color for paper texture only and run
it through a second time for BO printing of map. G4, OSX.2, PS7, 1.2 gig RAM
As an alternative, i can shoot a 4x5 with a vacuum easel and scan that,
anybody have any ideas that can get this job done without spending all day
on it? thanks
Tom Robinson
