For a brief period a few months back, there was some problem, as I recall,
with serial number activation.  He had to make some kind of changes because of
some people generating false numbers or something like that.  I e-mailed Ed and
he gladly gave me a new serial number when he checked my data on file.  I am
sure he would do the same for you if you are entitled to upgrades.
