[filmscanners] Monitor white point

I'm trying to calibrate my LS-40 while noticing the calibration tool
(LittleCMS) is tuned for D50. I used to work (and calibrated my
monitor) with D65 (6500K).
Does the proper scanning/image editing workflow requires D50 or D65 ?

What's your opinion and experience ?
