Nikon or the Minolta Dimage Scan Elite 5400 (though there is dispute over
problems with the Minolta).  Considering your price range, consider eBay.

You should join the newsgroup alt.comp.periphs.scanner - lots and lots of
info there as to what scanner to buy.
